About the Role

PepsiCo is seeking a dedicated and results-oriented Sr. Route Salesman to join its sales team in Khamis Harb, Makkah, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position involves maximizing sales volume, ensuring product availability, and maintaining customer relationships within an assigned territory. Key Responsibilities

  • Sell the full range of PepsiCo products to an agreed list of customers, with sales measured against previously agreed targets.
  • Minimize product stales, ensuring they remain below the agreed target provided by your supervisor.
  • Provide approved service levels to customers, adhering to call frequency and daily route plans to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Complete daily and weekly vehicle checks as per operating procedures, ensuring the sales vehicle is maintained in a clean and roadworthy condition and reporting any defects or damage promptly to the supervisor.
  • Agree on order requirements for the next selling period with your supervisor on a daily basis.
  • Maintain individual customer stock levels to agreed requirements to minimize out-of-stock situations.
  • Implement agreed in-store merchandising standards communicated by the supervisor, coordinating with company merchandisers where applicable.
  • Advise the supervisor of any relevant competitor activity in your service area during daily debriefing sessions.
  • Perform daily reconciliation of all cheques, cash, and credit sales, ensuring zero stock and cash shortages.
  • Maintain a neat and presentable appearance at all times.
  • Adhere to a high standard of driving and obey all driving regulations.
  • Attend training courses designed to improve professionalism and customer service levels.
  • Complete a daily debriefing with your supervisor to review performance and market information.
  • Provide supervisors with the latest market information to identify and develop sales opportunities.

Performance Expectations

Consistent delivery against Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) is expected. These include daily/weekly sales versus planned sales, daily positive calls versus plan, daily call sequence versus plan, stales versus target, and zero cash & stock shortages. Failure to meet these KPIs may lead to disciplinary action.
