GDC Middle East, a Saudi company specializing in aircraft preparation and maintenance, is seeking an ARFF Firefighter to join their team in Riyadh. This full-time role is critical for maintaining safety within the airport environment through effective emergency response.

Role Overview

The ARFF Firefighter is responsible for ensuring the safety of the airport environment by responding to aircraft emergencies, engaging in firefighting and rescue operations, and managing hazardous material incidents. The role requires a strong sense of duty, effective problem-solving skills, and the ability to perform under pressure in challenging situations.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform fire suppression, rescue, and medical emergency responses at the assigned duty location.
• Ensure all emergency services equipment is in a constant state of readiness.
• Participate in daily roll calls before shifts and attend meetings as requested by the Fire Chief or designee.
• Complete all required proficiency training.
• Communicate effectively with customers in a professional and courteous manner.
• Demonstrate effective communication skills, both oral and written.
• Execute and direct functions quickly and without hesitation in difficult and hazardous situations.
• Comprehend and apply instructions, and communicate information clearly and concisely.
• Learn, apply, and teach aircraft rescue and firefighting techniques and practices.
• Perform physically demanding work and withstand very hazardous conditions.
• Report directly to the Fire Chief or their Designee.
• Perform all other duties as assigned by the Fire Chief, Assistant Chiefs, Station Captains, or Lieutenants of the Fire Department.

Qualifications and Requirements

• 3-5 years of relevant experience.
• Considerable knowledge of egress and safety procedures for various military and civilian rotary-wing aircraft, as well as structural fire/alarm detection/suppression systems.
• Expert knowledge of aircraft rescue and firefighting techniques, practices, and equipment, including first aid and CPR.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license.
• Candidates must pass a physical examination, including normal color discrimination and visual acuity correctable to 20/20 in one eye, 20/30 in the other eye, and not more than 20/200 uncorrected in each eye.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, requiring consistent presence and readiness to respond to emergencies within the airport environment.
