Role Overview
This role is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and is part of the Middle East and Africa Operations at Thermo Fisher Scientific. You will report directly to the Supply Chain Director for Middle East and Africa.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement country-level supply chain strategy in alignment with global and business objectives.
• Lead SIOP processes to achieve high service levels and optimal working capital.
• Oversee logistics and distribution operations including customs, warehousing, and 3PL partnerships.
• Optimize material flow from global manufacturing and distribution sites to local customers.
• Drive Practical Process Improvement (PPI) initiatives for enhanced efficiency, reduced waste, and improved quality.
• Ensure operational readiness for new product introductions and expansion activities and proactively identify and mitigate supply chain risks.
• Achieve operational metrics: efficiency, cycle time, OTIF, inventory accuracy.
• Oversee operational audits for compliance with ISO, QMS, and local regulations.
• Implement digital tools and analytics for better visibility and decision-making.
• Partner with Sales, Finance, Regulatory, and Quality teams to ensure business alignment.
• Lead, coach, and develop the Supply Chain and Operations team.
• Foster a high-performance culture focused on collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Engineering, Operations management, Supply chain, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience with minimum of 3 years in managerial role, ideally in a multinational or highly regulated industry.
• Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Arabic; Strong command of Microsoft office, Power BI, and other productivity tools; High attention to detail and resilience under pressure.

Purpose:
To drive HVAC replacement sales in the private and facility management sectors by generating leads, conducting site surveys, and delivering profitable technical-commercial proposals. The role ensures smooth project handovers and fosters long-term customer relationships while expanding market presence and safeguarding margins.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of replacement opportunities within the assigned region and account list.
• Conduct site surveys and collect technical information for accurate sizing, load estimation, and equipment selection.
• Prepare BOQs, technical proposals, commercial offers, and value-engineered alternatives that support competitive pricing and margin protection.
• Collaborate with OEM partners and internal estimation teams to secure competitive product pricing and technical support.
• Lead customer clarifications, present proposals, manage objections, and negotiate terms to close deals.
• Ensure proper contract terms, including advance payments, delivery schedule, warranty conditions, and retention/LD considerations.
• Coordinate internal handover with Projects and Service teams for execution readiness and risk awareness.
• Work closely with finance and project teams to support timely invoicing and collections.
• Maintain accuracy and discipline in CRM entries, including pipeline status, customer activities, and forecasting.
• Develop strong client relationships to drive repeat business, referrals, and upsell of service contracts.

Requirements:

• Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering, HVAC Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in HVAC sales, replacement projects, or retrofit solutions.
• Strong knowledge of Chillers, DX systems, VRF, rooftop units, and basic retrofit integration principles.
• Proven track record of achieving sales targets and maintaining strong customer relationships.
• Ability to perform technical site assessments and recommend appropriate replacement solutions.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
• Proficiency in both English and Arabic languages.

• Support our valued channel partners and solve design challenges faced by end-users.
• Manage the CRM system effectively, tracking records according to company expectations.

Your Skills and Expertise
To excel in this role, candidates should meet the following minimum requirements:

• Saudi nationality is a must.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, preferably structural engineering.
• Experience in sales and technical solutions.
• Ability to conduct daily domestic travel to meet customers.
• Strong communication skills and a proven sales attitude.
• Fluency in both Arabic and English.

Job Specifics
The preferred locations for this role are Riyadh, Dammam, Jubail, and Qatif. Expect to travel at least four days a week to meet customers across Saudi Arabia, with one day at the 3M office or from home. This is a full-time remote position with a compensation package that includes 70% monthly base pay and 30% quarterly variable pay based on sales results. 3M provides an excellent allowance and benefits package.
