About the Role

Saudi Power Procurement Company is seeking a motivated Procurement Operation Specialist to join its team in Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is integral to optimizing procurement activities, ensuring efficiency, transparency, and the timely acquisition of quality goods and services. The successful candidate will play a key role in standardizing processes, managing vendor relationships, and supporting the organization's purchasing needs.

This role involves assisting in various procurement functions, from sourcing and negotiation to contract management and local content implementation. You will contribute to the overall effectiveness of the procurement department by ensuring compliance with regulations and leveraging opportunities to enhance local purchasing power.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in procurement activities and standardize processes to optimize efficiency and ensure transparency.
  • Negotiate favorable vendor terms while delivering quality and timely supply agreements.
  • Support the vendor management strategy by sourcing qualified suppliers and evaluating their performance.
  • Maintain business continuity through effective contract management.
  • Assist in purchasing across the organization, including creating purchase and service orders.
  • Develop a procurement catalogue and understand the category management framework.
  • Support the implementation of local content initiatives by identifying local suppliers and negotiating agreements.
  • Ensure compliance with regulations and leverage opportunities to enhance local purchasing.
  • Support centralized contract management from initiation to closeout, ensuring compliance with terms and managing amendments aligned with company interests.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in procurement or a related field.
  • Excellent knowledge of written and spoken English.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong communication skills.
