About the Role

Saudi Azm is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This role is central to leading the analysis, design, and implementation of business processes, systems, and strategies aimed at enhancing organizational efficiency and effectiveness. The Senior Business Analyst will collaborate with stakeholders to identify business needs, gather and document requirements, and translate them into functional solutions aligned with organizational goals. A key aspect of this position involves mentoring junior analysts and promoting business analysis best practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the analysis of existing business processes, systems, and workflows to identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop and document detailed process flows, business requirements, and functional specifications.
  • Conduct gap analyses to assess alignment between current operations and desired future states.
  • Research and analyze business needs to identify enhancement opportunities.
  • Evaluate strategies, model proposed solutions, and provide recommendations for business challenges.
  • Facilitate workshops and brainstorming sessions with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and generate solutions.
  • Create Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), develop workflows, write user stories, and design diagrams.
  • Define and manage project scope, handle change requests, and ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Review prototypes, gather stakeholder feedback, and coordinate improvements with design and development teams.
  • Monitor development progress, communicate with project teams, conduct testing, coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and refine solutions.
  • Provide project management support, including developing project plans, timelines, and status reports.
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks or issues, and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Mentor and guide junior business analysts.
  • Promote best practices in business analysis and ensure adherence to organizational standards.
  • Foster a collaborative work environment within the business analysis team.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in business analysis.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in business analysis processes and tools.
  • Lead initiatives to implement improvements and ensure their adoption.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Saudi nationality is required.
  • Proven experience in leading business analysis for large, complex projects, preferably across multiple industries.
  • Experience in specific industries such as finance, healthcare, or technology is beneficial.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and experience working in Agile environments.
  • Experience in business intelligence (BI) and data analytics projects.
  • Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or an equivalent certification is preferred.
  • Additional certifications in project management (*, PMP) or Agile methodologies (*, Certified Scrum Master) are considered a plus.

Required Skills

  • Business Process Analysis & Modeling: Expertise in techniques such as BPMN and UML, using tools like Visio.
  • Requirements Management: Proficiency in tools like Jira and Confluence, along with established methodologies.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Strong data analysis skills, with experience in data modeling and reporting tools including Excel, Power BI, and Tableau.
  • Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC): Comprehensive understanding of SDLC, including Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
  • Documentation: Ability to create detailed technical documentation, including use cases, user stories, and functional specifications.
  • Project Management Support: Experience in developing project plans, timelines, status reports, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Stakeholder Management: Skilled in managing business sessions, facilitating workshops, gathering feedback, and coordinating UAT.
  • Problem-Solving & Analytical Thinking: Strong problem-solving capabilities and analytical thinking for data-driven decision-making.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Leadership & Mentoring: Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
  • Collaboration: Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.

Work Environment and Experience

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role requires 5-10 years of experience in business analysis, with a focus on leading analysis for large, complex projects.
