About the Senior Contracts Manager Role

Mace is seeking a Senior Contracts Manager to join their team in Riyadh Region, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is part of a significant program involving major mixed-use development, including sports, entertainment, and arts facilities, along with associated infrastructure. Mace, a company that combines construction expertise with consultancy, requires experienced professionals to lead integrated teams through all project phases.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and administer construction contracts, including documents, warranties, bonds, licenses, variations, valuations, and certification through to final accounts and completion.
  • Provide advice on contract terms, execution, practical completion, defects completion, and compliance with submission and approval requirements.
  • Measure, value, and agree work progress, variations, and contractor payments in line with contractual provisions.
  • Maintain rigorous cost control, identifying and managing all costs arising from design changes, contract awards, construction activities, and client charges.
  • Prepare accurate financial reports for clients in the required format and frequency.
  • Participate in the assessment of contractor and subcontractor claims for delay and additional costs, providing balanced commercial advice.
  • Lead and manage a team, driving performance, technical development, coaching, and continuous improvement in systems and processes.
  • Manage internal and external stakeholders collaboratively, supporting net zero carbon objectives through proactive identification and management of emissions and reductions.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A degree in quantity surveying/cost management or an equivalent qualification.
  • Professional membership or working towards it (*, MRICS/RICS), or equivalent demonstrable professional or personal development.
  • Developed commercial and financial acumen.
  • Knowledge of value engineering, life cycle costing, contract law, and contractual frameworks relating to construction.
  • Experience in managing relationships with key stakeholders.
