Senior Credit Cards Product and Portfolio Expert (m/f/d)

About the Role

Halian | Managed Services, Recruitment Agency & Contract Staffing is seeking a Senior Credit Cards Product and Portfolio Expert to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves supporting the Head of Cards in developing and executing the bank's credit cards strategy, with a focus on driving portfolio growth, increasing customer spend, and enhancing profitability across premium and affluent customer segments.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the end-to-end product lifecycle for the cards portfolio, including proposition development, enhancements, pricing, benefits, and features.
• Monitor and manage key portfolio performance indicators such as card activation, spend per active card, customer utilization, and profitability.
• Design and enhance rewards, loyalty, and recognition programs to increase customer engagement and card usage.
• Champion digital-first customer journeys across acquisition, onboarding, servicing, rewards, and engagement.
• Lead and support strategic cards initiatives, product launches, migrations, and transformation programs.
• Manage relationships with card schemes and key stakeholders within the payments ecosystem.

Product and Portfolio Management

The role requires expertise in credit card product management, including evaluating market trends, customer behavior, and competitor activity to identify growth opportunities. This involves developing and enhancing premium card propositions to increase customer acquisition, activation, engagement, and retention, and driving product improvements through ongoing portfolio analysis and customer feedback. The expert will also support sales and distribution teams with product training and sales enablement initiatives.

Digital Banking and Customer Experience

This position involves close collaboration with digital banking teams to improve card servicing capabilities across mobile and online platforms. Responsibilities include supporting the implementation of digital payment solutions, wallet integrations, and emerging payment technologies, as well as enhancing customer experience through simplified processes and improved digital functionality. The role also utilizes data and analytics to develop personalized customer experiences and targeted campaigns.

Qualifications and Experience

• Over 10 years of proven experience managing credit card products and portfolios within a banking or financial services environment.
• Demonstrated success in improving portfolio KPIs, including spend, activation, engagement, retention, and profitability.
• Strong understanding of card portfolio economics, pricing structures, interchange revenue, rewards frameworks, and customer value propositions.
• Experience working with card schemes and payments ecosystem partners.
• Knowledge of the Saudi banking market, consumer banking products, and regulatory environment.
• Strong analytical capabilities with the ability to convert data into actionable business recommendations.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
