Senior Mechanical Engineer (Site Supervision)

About the Role

Cundall, an award-winning global consultancy, is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer for site supervision. This full-time, project-specific role is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, specifically for a luxury hotel development in Ad Dir'iyah. The successful candidate will ensure mechanical works align with approved designs, specifications, international standards, and project quality requirements.

The Building Services team focuses on designing energy-efficient, sustainable, and cost-effective mechanical and electrical solutions, minimizing natural resource use. This team provides world-leading expertise and supports professional development.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the on-site authority and primary client interface for sustainability matters during construction.
• Manage client expectations, report progress, and resolve challenges in real-time.
• Represent Cundall in meetings with clients, consultants, and contractors.
• Oversee detailed mechanical designs, layouts, schematics, and calculations for HVAC, plumbing, and firefighting systems.
• Review and produce 2D/3D drawings using AutoCAD, Navisworks, and Revit.
• Perform heat load calculations using HAP software.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, project managers, BIM coordinators, and other engineers for seamless system integration.
• Conduct site inspections and surveys.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant standards, regulations, and energy-efficiency goals.
• Prepare technical reports.

Qualifications and Experience

• 5-10 years of experience in mechanical engineering, with a focus on site supervision.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Navisworks, Revit, and HAP software.
• Demonstrated commitment to sustainable design and energy-efficient building practices.

Work Environment
