About the Role

Jasara Program Management Company (JASARA PMC) is seeking a motivated and experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This role is crucial for contributing to our commitment to delivering high-quality construction projects. The Senior Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for managing all aspects of cost management throughout the project lifecycle, including budgeting, forecasting, and rigorous cost control. You will collaborate closely with project teams to ensure all projects are delivered within defined financial constraints while upholding the highest standards of quality and excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates and budgets for various construction projects.
  • Analyze project specifications, proposals, and contracts to thoroughly assess all financial aspects.
  • Monitor project expenditures diligently and provide comprehensive financial reports and forecasts to stakeholders.
  • Coordinate effectively with subcontractors and suppliers to gather competitive pricing information.
  • Evaluate bid submissions from vendors and negotiate contracts to secure optimal pricing and terms.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor project progress and evaluate associated costs in real-time.
  • Support project managers in identifying potential cost-saving opportunities and proactively avoiding budget overruns.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
  • A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry.
  • A strong and comprehensive understanding of quantity surveying principles, contract administration, and cost estimation methodologies.
  • Proficiency in relevant software tools, including advanced use of Microsoft Excel and various project management software.
  • Excellent analytical skills with a meticulous attention to detail in all financial and contractual matters.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to effectively liaise with diverse project stakeholders.
  • A proven track record of working effectively and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Familiarity with local construction regulations and practices in Saudi Arabia is considered a significant advantage.
