Key Responsibilities:- Conduct comprehensive analyses of urban environments, incorporating demographic, economic, and environmental factors to inform planning decisions.
- Develop land use planning, zoning regulations, and policies that guide urban development and community growth.
- Engage with community stakeholders such as residents, businesses, and government agencies, facilitating input and participation in the planning process.
- Create detailed reports, presentations, and visualizations to clearly communicate planning concepts and proposals.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, landscape architects, and other professionals to ensure cohesive project outcomes.
- Monitor and evaluate the implementation of urban plans and policies, making adjustments as necessary to meet evolving community needs.
- Stay updated on trends in urban planning, sustainability, and local government regulations.
Requirements:Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Urban Planning, Geography, Environmental Science, or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred.
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in urban planning, community development, or regional planning.
- Membership or eligibility for membership in a recognized planning accreditation body (*, APA) is a plus.
Technical Skills:- Proficient in planning and design software (*, GIS, AutoCAD, SketchUp).
- Strong analytical skills and experience in demographic analysis and spatial data.
- Ability to create compelling visualizations and presentations using design software.
