Role OverviewWe are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Yards and Warehouses Accountant to join our team. This role plays a key part in ensuring smooth financial operations related to our yard and warehouse activities, as well as customer and cash management.
Key Responsibilities- Customer Management: Register and maintain detailed customer records, ensuring accurate onboarding and seamless integration into financial and logistical systems.
- Yard & Warehouse Financial Oversight: Monitor and manage all financial aspects of yard and warehouse operations, including inventory tracking, container movements, and cost allocations.
- Invoice Creation & Billing: Generate accurate invoices for container storage, handling services, and other logistics-related operations. Ensure timely delivery and follow-up with clients as needed.
- Cash Flow Monitoring: Audit and reconcile all incoming and outgoing cash transactions. Maintain strong internal controls and ensure compliance with company financial policies.
- Logistics & Budgeting: Support financial planning by managing warehouse budgets, optimizing spending across sites, and contributing to cost-efficiency in multi-location logistics.
- Reporting & Analysis: Produce clear, data-driven financial and operational reports using Excel and analytics tools. Identify trends, risks, and opportunities to enhance efficiency and profitability.
- System & Technology Utilization: Leverage transportation management systems, GPS tracking tools, and ERP platforms to maintain accuracy and streamline accounting workflows.
- Leadership & Collaboration: Work closely with warehouse teams, operations, and senior management to ensure transparency and alignment across departments. Contribute to a high-performance culture through proactive communication and accountability.
- Strategic Support: Assist in developing and implementing scalable financial processes across yards and warehouses, with a focus on continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Qualifications & Requirements- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Logistics, or a related field.
- Experience: 24+ years in a logistics accounting role or in logistics operations, with a proven track record of supporting or leading high-performing teams. Experience in the transportation or logistics sector is required—preferably in Saudi Arabia or the GCC.
- Technical & Analytical Skills: Proficiency in transportation management systems, GPS tracking, and data-driven decision-making and reporting. Advanced Excel and data analytics skills, with the ability to derive actionable insights from complex datasets.
- Leadership & Soft Skills: Strategic thinker, able to handle large-scale transportation challenges and design effective solutions under pressure. Exceptional communication skills in English (Arabic proficiency is highly advantageous), with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels. Innovative mindset with the ability to inspire teams, drive cultural change, and implement process improvements swiftly.
