About the Role

Hitachi Energy is seeking a motivated GIS I&C Engineer to join our team in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. This role is essential for the successful installation, repair, and fault elimination of switching systems within high-voltage (HV) and gas-insulated switchgear (GIS) projects globally. The successful candidate will be responsible for the competent execution of all entrusted installation and commissioning tasks, ensuring they are carried out in perfect technical order. Key Responsibilities

• Independently carry out installation and maintenance work.
• Ensure compliance with installation requirements and instructions, and verify that necessary accident prevention measures are observed, specifically adhering to guidelines for work on live system components.
• Maintain red-mark drawings and documents to reflect any changes or modifications that become necessary during the installation process.
• Advise sub-supplier installation superintendents in the planning and coordination of the workforce required to meet project schedules.
• Cooperate with the Project Manager on establishing the status of completed and non-completed work.
• Inspect arriving materials for completeness and possible damage, and coordinate material handling in cooperation with sub-suppliers' Material Control procedures.
• Issue non-conformance reports for damage or missing equipment within the scope of supply, in cooperation with the Project Manager.
• Supervise final installation and commissioning tests, as well as the completion of Hitachi Energy's installation documentation.
• Supervise and coordinate loop check activities and participate in site meetings as requested by the Project Manager.
• Ensure the competent execution of all assigned tasks.
• Carry out any additional tasks assigned by management that are necessary to fulfill the job requirements.
• Ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Qualifications and Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering is required.
• A minimum of 2-5 years of experience with GIS is preferred.
• Previous experience with SF6 Gas Handling is preferred.
• Knowledge of PGHV Transmission & Sub-transmission GIS Products is preferred.

Required Skills

• Proficiency in using MS Project professionally.
• Proficiency in both spoken and written English language is required.
