Job Purpose:

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop vendors for localization of direct and indirect materials.
• Negotiate purchase rates with suppliers and oversee supplier quality audits.
• Source mechanical and electrical components, ensuring adherence to specifications and standards.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to drive cost reduction initiatives.
• Conduct quality assessments and support supplier development efforts.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 4 years’ experience in purchasing or vendor development, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong negotiation skills with a solid understanding of technical specifications.
• Experience with ERP systems, specifically Microsoft AX is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with diverse teams.

We are a leading turnkey fit-out service provider in the Middle East, established since 1998. As we expand in the key growth market of KSA, we're looking for an experienced Procurement Engineer to elevate our business operations.

About the Role:
The Procurement Engineer will play a crucial role in managing the procurement process, adhering to our company's policies and standards. This includes:

• Initiating and administering all procurement stages from obtaining bids to delivery of materials on site.
• Preparing and reviewing main material lists from project ** & Drawings.
• Evaluating bids and negotiating with vendors to secure advantageous terms.
• Collaborating with project teams and conducting weekly meetings with clients.
• Ensuring timely delivery of materials while adhering to project QA/QC procedures.

Candidate Requirements:
We seek individuals with extraordinary verbal and written English skills, and more than 8 years of experience within the construction procurement industry, notably 5 years in the KSA market. Ideally, candidates should have experience in procurement functions within fit-out construction or joinery industries and possess excellent negotiation skills. Strong Excel and Word skills and proficiency in using bespoke procurement software are preferred.

Role Summary:
The Procurement Engineer will play a vital role within our procurement function, ensuring the smooth operation of the procurement process in accordance with company policies and standards. This position requires flexibility, as you will be involved in projects all over the Kingdom.

Key Responsibilities:

• Initiate and administer the procurement process throughout all procurement stages.
• Prepare the main material list from project ** & drawings.
• Manage the preparation of RFQs and liaise with relevant suppliers to obtain quotations.
• Evaluate bids and prepare recommendations, engaging the Engineering team for technical reviews as necessary.
• Negotiate with vendors to secure advantageous terms and ensure clarity of specifications.
• Monitor the status of materials through regular reporting and follow-ups.
• Contribute to the value engineering process and develop relationships with suppliers.

Candidate Requirements:

• Excellent verbal and written skills in English.
• Over 8 years of experience in the construction procurement industry, with at least 5 years in the KSA market.
• Strong negotiation skills and experience in tender and vendor management processes.
• Positive, assertive personality with strong skills in Excel and Word.
• Experience with bespoke procurement software, such as ERP and MRP software, is a plus.
