About the Role

YO IT Consulting is seeking an Arabic Quality Assurance Lead for a remote, contract position. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the quality and consistency of Arabic AI training projects, ensuring the accuracy and cultural appropriateness of AI-generated content and trainer performance. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to the improvement of leading AI models by ensuring high-quality Arabic training data.

Role Overview and Responsibilities

As an Arabic Quality Assurance Lead, your primary focus will be on maintaining and elevating the quality standards for Arabic AI training initiatives. You will conduct thorough reviews of AI-generated Arabic content and the work produced by trainers and QA specialists. This involves evaluating output against project guidelines, providing detailed written feedback, and ensuring all contributors adhere to established quality expectations. Your leadership will be crucial in ensuring that Arabic training data is natural, accurate, culturally relevant, and aligned with client requirements.

• Perform spot checks on Arabic content, identify quality issues, and deliver ongoing feedback.
• Escalate significant or recurring quality concerns to the appropriate channels.
• Communicate updates regarding new item guidelines, project changes, workflow adjustments, and quality expectations to trainers and QAs via Discord.
• Address questions from trainers and QAs promptly and clearly, particularly concerning Arabic language nuances, grammar, register, dialect, RTL formatting, translation accuracy, terminology, and cultural context.
• Engage with inactive contributors to encourage participation and track follow-ups.
• Report availability issues as needed.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive Arabic project documentation, including style guides, trackers, FAQs, quality notes, examples, honeypots, and onboarding materials.
• Organize and conduct onboarding and training sessions to explain project expectations, workflows, rubrics, quality standards, and Arabic-specific style requirements.
• Ensure consistent application of Arabic language guidelines by all team members and effective communication of project updates.
• Identify persistent quality gaps and propose improvements to existing workflows.
• Contribute to the development of scalable QA processes for Arabic language projects.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should possess a strong foundation in Arabic language and quality assurance principles. A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in relevant fields is required, along with a solid understanding of Arabic grammar, style, and regional variations. Experience leading remote teams is highly advantageous.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Arabic, Linguistics, Translation, Communications, Journalism, English, Education, Quality Assurance, or a related field.
• Native or near-native proficiency in Arabic, with excellent reading and writing skills.
• Strong command of the English language for guideline comprehension and team communication.
• 3+ years of professional experience in Arabic writing, editing, translation, localization, content QA, AI training, education, annotation, or similar language review workflows.
• In-depth knowledge of Arabic grammar, spelling, punctuation, diacritics, RTL formatting, tone, register, Modern Standard Arabic, and regional dialects.
• Ability to critically evaluate Arabic content against detailed rubrics and identify issues such as mistranslations, unnatural phrasing, incorrect tone or register, dialect inconsistencies, factual inaccuracies, ambiguity, or terminology discrepancies.
• Prior experience leading or supporting remote teams of trainers, annotators, reviewers, editors, or QAs is strongly preferred.
• Proficiency in using remote collaboration tools such as Discord, Google Sheets, Google Docs, trackers, dashboards, and project management systems.
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills, with the capacity to manage and maintain various documentation types.
• Experience with AI training, data annotation, large language models, prompt/response evaluation, or rubric-based LLM QA is a significant advantage.

Work Arrangement and Application Process

This is a remote contract role. The selection process includes an AI-driven interview, a domain-specific task, and an interview with a recruiter. While there is no immediate project assignment, qualified candidates will be contacted for future relevant opportunities and gain access to the company's expert network. This role is compensated on an hourly basis.
