About the Role

SJ Group, a global consulting firm specializing in urban development, infrastructure, and managed services, is seeking a Junior Architect to join its Architecture team. The firm's mission is to build cities and shape lives through sustainable and impactful solutions. As a Junior Architect, you will contribute to the design and development of innovative architectural solutions for various building and infrastructure projects. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate with experienced professionals and gain exposure to all phases of the design process, from concept development to construction documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing architectural designs, drawings, and presentations for different project stages.
• Support the senior architectural team in developing design concepts, creating 3D visualizations, and preparing technical documentation.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including structural, MEP, and interior design, to ensure integrated project delivery.
• Contribute to design reviews, ensuring adherence to project standards, building codes, and client requirements.
• Participate in site visits, design workshops, and client meetings as needed to support project objectives.
• Maintain knowledge of current design tools, sustainability principles, and architectural trends.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture from a recognized university.
• 2-5 years of professional experience in architectural design, preferably within an international or multidisciplinary consultancy.
• Familiarity with regional design standards, building codes, and sustainable design principles relevant to the Saudi Arabian market.
• Demonstrated experience in preparing concept designs, detailed drawings, and client presentations.
• Exposure to large-scale projects such as mixed-use developments, commercial buildings, or institutional facilities is considered an advantage.

Required Skills

• Proficiency in design and visualization software, including AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Basic understanding of Building Information Modeling (BIM) workflows and coordination processes.
• Strong attention to detail, creative thinking, and effective problem-solving abilities.
• Good communication and teamwork skills for effective collaboration within multidisciplinary teams.
• A commitment to design excellence and continuous professional development.

Work Environment and Location
