The Role of Room Care Technician

An opportunity has arisen for a Room Care Technician – Engineering to join the team at Jumeirah Jabal Omar Makkah. This full-time role is integral to maintaining the high standards of guest room functionality and comfort, ensuring all technical and maintenance needs are addressed promptly and professionally within the engineering department.

Primary Responsibilities

• Understand guestroom-related issues, gather necessary equipment, and efficiently assess and resolve problems.
• Perform maintenance tasks in rooms, including electrical, furniture, and basic repair jobs.
• Handle guest and team inquiries professionally and resolve room care complaints promptly.
• Complete assigned work orders, conduct room inspections, and document all tasks performed.
• Select correct tools and parts from stores and maintain accurate usage logs.
• Report observed room damages to supervisors and recommend appropriate solutions.

Qualifications and Experience

• 1 – 2 years of experience in a similar role within a luxury 5-star property.
• Secondary education is required.
• Vocational certification and trade qualification are preferred.
