Tasks and Responsibilities
• Welcoming customers and greeting them in a friendly and professional manner.
• Accurately taking orders and providing advice on available drinks or food items.
• Preparing and serving hot and cold beverages (coffee, espresso, cappuccino, latte, tea, iced drinks...) according to specified recipes and standards.
• Operating coffee equipment (espresso machines, grinders, and brewing devices) and adjusting them as needed.
• Using the Point of Sale (POS) system to enter orders and complete payment transactions in cash or by card.
• Maintaining cleanliness in the work area, tables, equipment, and preparation tools.
• Restocking supplies such as milk, coffee, cups, lids, napkins, and straws as needed.
• Reporting any equipment malfunctions or operational issues to the direct supervisor.
• Assisting in opening or closing tasks for the café (preparation, cleaning, daily inventory).
• Interacting positively with customers, building a friendly relationship, and encouraging them to try new products or special offers.
• Adhering to hygiene and food safety standards and health instructions.

Required Skills and Qualifications
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work quickly and accurately in a busy work environment.
• Attention to detail in preparing and presenting beverages.
• Basic math skills to handle billing and payment.
• Knowledge of coffee types and preparation methods (or willingness to learn).
• Ability to stand for long periods, bend, and lift materials repeatedly.
• Flexibility in working hours (morning, evening, weekends).
• Commitment to punctuality and teamwork.

Educational Qualifications and Experience
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience working in cafés or customer service is a plus.
• Knowledge or experience in operating espresso machines and related equipment is an additional advantage.
• Food safety certification or a course in general hygiene is preferred.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements
• Working in an indoor environment (café).
• Standing for long periods while exposed to heat or steam from hot beverages.
• Lifting light to medium weight boxes or bags of supplies.
• Ability to work on a shift basis, including holidays and special occasions.
• Adhering to hygiene standards and maintaining an appropriate personal appearance.
