Overview: We are looking for a passionate Commis Chef 1 to support kitchen operations in delivering high-quality food across all food and beverage outlets. In this role, you will work alongside the Head Chefs to ensure that exceptional dishes are prepared while adhering to strict kitchen hygiene and safety protocols.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in food preparation by washing, cutting, and distributing ingredients according to the Chef's instructions.
- Prepare basic dishes such as sandwiches, sauces, and salads under the supervision of the Head Kitchen Staff.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring that all kitchen surfaces, utensils, and equipment meet hygiene standards.
- Follow food safety guidelines for storage, handling, and cooking food items.
- Support the Head Chefs in daily kitchen operations and monitor inventory levels of ingredients.
- Assist in plating and garnishing dishes, ensuring that food is presented according to specifications.
- Participate in kitchen safety practices, including the proper use of heavy commercial kitchen equipment.
- Receive and store deliveries, ensuring the proper rotation of food items.
- Perform other tasks as delegated by the Head Chefs.
Requirements:
- Skills: Basic knowledge of food ingredients, cooking techniques, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work as a team.
- Languages: Ability to speak English.
