About The Role & Team
The Business Analyst analyses and understands business challenges and processes. This role is responsible for defining and documenting customer requirements, producing functional specifications, and offering subject matter expertise to both development and client-facing teams. The Business Analyst also creates detailed test cases and ensures thorough testing in alignment with SITA's business standards. Additionally, they validate and refine customer requirements by confirming that the delivered solutions meet the required functionality, conducting user acceptance testing, managing change requests, and guiding customers on how to enhance their operations through the effective use of SITA’s applications.

What You’ll Do
  • Understand and evaluate requested changes to the system and its services.
  • Develop strategic plans for implementing changes and improvements.
  • Identify business requirements, prioritize them, and obtain review and approval.
  • Study and analyse business procedures.
  • Identify potential areas for improvement within the system.
  • Analyse and document customer needs, business processes, and functional specifications, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Perform functional gap analysis, provide insights on product gaps, and support regional management with delivery timelines and feasibility assessments.
  • Develop comprehensive test cases, oversee user acceptance testing, and ensure solutions meet the required functionality in accordance with SITA’s standards.
  • Assist in presales activities such as customer proposals, risk analysis, and site surveys, and provide support in managing customer change requests during the post-sales phase.
  • Collaborate with development teams to assess technical feasibility, align delivery schedules, and manage customer expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Guide customers in improving their operational processes by effectively utilizing SITA’s applications, ensuring that customer requirements are met and solutions are delivered successfully.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related IT field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in business analysis for IT systems.
  • Strong knowledge of business process analysis, gap analysis, and requirements documentation.
  • Proven experience in customer-facing roles, with the ability to manage technical expectations and project scope.
  • Proficiency in developing and executing user acceptance test plans and managing testing for compliance.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to work across teams and manage multiple stakeholders.
  • Able to manage and analyse large, complex datasets and work with Advanced systems.
  • Proficient in SQL, working with Relational DBMS systems.
