The Role: Director, Infrastructure - Power & Utilities

Alvarez & Marsal is seeking a Director, Infrastructure - Power & Utilities, for a full-time position in Riyadh. This role involves leading the day-to-day delivery of major workstreams or smaller engagements, serving as the senior client counterpart on the ground. The Director is expected to drive work independently and provide clear direction.

Key Responsibilities

• Structure ambiguous problems, define analytical paths, and guide teams to clear solutions across capital projects, operational performance, utility transformation, market and regulatory issues, and investment decisions.
• Lead asset and portfolio work encompassing generation, transmission and distribution, renewables and storage, water and desalination, data centers (digital infrastructure), cooling, waste, and integrated utility systems.
• Maintain visibility of the link between technical performance and economic outcomes.
• Develop robust fact bases, business cases, benchmarks, value bridges, and implementation plans that clearly outline financial and operational implications.
• Translate findings into actionable steps, which may include delivery governance, PMO or control-tower disciplines, operational improvement, contract and claims actions, or value-capture tracking.
• Engage closely with clients, leading working sessions and steering meetings, managing difficult conversations, and producing concise materials for clear decision-making and next actions.
• Identify follow-on needs, shape proposals, develop client-specific points of view, and actively contribute to account plans and pursuits to generate new work.
• Integrate A&M specialists and external experts as needed, ensuring clients receive a unified solution.
• Manage project quality, scope, schedule, team performance, and engagement economics.
• Coach Managers and junior team members, contributing to the ongoing development of the Power & Utilities (P&U) practice.

Experience and Professional Development
