About the Role
W Hotels, part of Marriott International, is seeking a Supervisor-Engineering for its location in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time, non-management position is based in the Financial District and is responsible for the operational integrity and maintenance of the hotel's facilities. The role contributes to maintaining W Hotels' standards and ensuring a high-quality guest experience.
Role Responsibilities
The Supervisor-Engineering will oversee the installation, maintenance, and repair of all hotel tools, appliances, and equipment. This includes implementing proactive preventative maintenance schedules, ensuring accurate calibration of measurement devices, and adhering to life safety protocols. The role also involves responding to guest repair requests promptly and maintaining all facilities to high standards of quality and safety. Key duties include:
- Installing, maintaining, and performing preventative maintenance on tools, appliances, and equipment.
- Recommending the replacement of tools, appliances, and equipment when necessary.
- Calibrating all controls, gauges, meters, and other measurement devices.
- Identifying and operating shut-off valves for essential systems.
- Managing parts and supplies inventory, including ordering, marking, stocking, and maintaining purchase order logs.
- Inspecting tools, equipment, and machines to ensure they are in good working order.
- Utilizing computer systems for work-related information entry and retrieval.
- Operating power lifts safely and efficiently.
- Completing life safety checklists, including fire pump and generator run tests.
- Inspecting fire sprinkler valves and alarm systems for functionality.
- Assisting in the development of disaster response protocols.
- Responding to guest repair requests in a timely and professional manner.
- Supporting management in employee hiring, training, scheduling, evaluation, counseling, discipline, motivation, and coaching.
- Adhering to all company and safety and security policies and procedures.
- Promptly reporting any maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries.
- Completing all required safety training and certifications.
- Maintaining a clean and professional uniform and personal appearance.
- Maintaining the confidentiality of proprietary information.
- Welcoming and acknowledging all guests according to company standards.
- Anticipating and addressing guest service needs, including assisting individuals with disabilities.
- Developing and maintaining positive working relationships with colleagues.
- Supporting team goals and responding appropriately to employee concerns.
- Ensuring adherence to quality expectations and standards.
- Identifying and recommending new ways to increase organizational efficiency, productivity, quality, safety, and cost-savings.
- Speaking with others using clear and professional language.
- Visually inspecting tools, equipment, or machines.
- Performing physical tasks including reaching overhead and below the knees, bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
- Moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and placing objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance.
- Grasping, turning, and manipulating objects of varying size and weight.
- Standing, sitting, or walking for an extended period of time.
- Moving up and down stairs and/or service ramps.
- Performing other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.
Qualifications and Requirements
Candidates for this role should meet the following criteria:
- A Technical, Trade, or Vocational School Degree is preferred.
- A minimum of 2 years of related work experience is required.
- A minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience is required.

Work Environment and Location
This is a full-time, non-management position located in the Financial District of Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role requires the candidate to be physically present at the location and is not remote. The work schedule is full time.
