We are seeking a diligent and organized Storekeeper to manage our inventory effectively. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring smooth operations within our supply chain.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and record incoming goods and materials.
- Organize and maintain inventory storage areas.
- Monitor and control inventory levels to ensure adequate stock availability.
- Prepare and process purchase orders and requisitions.
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods.
- Conduct regular stock counts and reconcile inventory records.
- Maintain accurate inventory documentation and records.
- Ensure compliance with safety and security procedures.
- Coordinate with internal departments to fulfill stock requests.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and presentable store environment.
Specific Accountabilities:
- Verify accuracy of incoming shipments and inspect goods condition.
- Unpack, label, and store goods in designated locations.
- Update inventory systems to reflect stock movements and balances.
- Generate reports on stock levels and inventory movements.
- Process internal stock requests and external orders.
- Conduct stock audits and investigate discrepancies.
- Implement inventory control measures to reduce loss and improve efficiency.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; a diploma in inventory management is a plus.
- Proven experience as a Storekeeper or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of storekeeping procedures and inventory control practices.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Good communication skills and ability to coordinate with internal departments and suppliers.
