About the Role

Nalco Water, An Ecolab Company, is seeking a dedicated Account Executive – PT to join their Purolite group in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is designed for a sales professional with a proven background in technical sales, aiming to contribute to revenue and profit growth. The role emphasizes a consultative sales approach, strong account leadership, and customer retention through understanding business drivers, implementing system assurance programs, and introducing new technologies.

This position is key to developing sales of Purolite ion exchange resins across the Water and Non-Water sectors in Saudi Arabia and the Gulf region. Reporting to the Regional Manager – Purolite Middle East Office, you will engage with end-users, OEMs, main contractors, service companies, and specialized traders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Dedicate at least 75% of working time to contacting and visiting customers and prospects to achieve budgeted targets.
  • Effectively control expenses in accordance with the allocated budget.
  • Complete all necessary information for orders prior to processing.
  • Propose marketing strategies to promote the Purolite brand and drive the sales of Purolite ion exchange resins.
  • Provide technical support in the marketplace to convert contacts into regular customers.
  • Conduct project calculations and plant optimization assessments.
  • Perform on-site interventions and audits at industrial sites to ensure optimal resin usage and resolve operating difficulties.
  • Participate in technical seminars focused on water treatment.
  • Propose optimal solutions to commercial and technical challenges, offering support both before and after sales.
  • Enhance market intelligence regarding competitors, including their people, strategies, pricing, and market share per segment.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial) or Life Sciences (Biology, Chemistry, etc.) is preferred.
  • A minimum of 1 year of successful technical sales or field sales support experience is required.
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience directly related to the well service stimulation business is preferred.
  • Experience within the water treatment or specialty chemical industry is beneficial.
  • Working knowledge of boilers, cooling towers, and wastewater treatment systems is advantageous.
  • High computer application literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to learn internal business systems.
  • A demonstrated history of working in an environment requiring autonomy and self-motivation.
  • Prior experience that required excellent communication skills.
