About the Loss Prevention Specialist Role

Amazon Saudi Arabia (ex-Souq) is seeking a detail-oriented and hands-on Loss Prevention Specialist to join our team. This full-time position will support our operational sites across the supply chain, focusing on protecting our people and preventing loss to ensure operational continuity and security. The role is based in Jeddah and Riyadh.

Role Overview and Responsibilities

As a Loss Prevention Specialist, you will be part of a team providing security as a service to various business units within a designated geographical area. Your responsibilities will include conducting physical security audits, investigating policy violations, security incidents, and loss events. This involves gathering information through system monitoring, data analysis, and interviews. You will identify process vulnerabilities and contribute to the development of mitigation strategies. Maintaining the physical integrity of sites through system health audits and ensuring their functionality with subject matter experts and external suppliers will also be key. You will interact daily with external security providers to ensure high-quality service delivery and act as a point of contact for internal and external departments, including legal, HR, security providers, and local law enforcement. You will also deliver loss prevention education and awareness programs and liaise with stakeholders on policy and procedures.

Key Job Responsibilities

• Support business operations resilience through contributions to emergency and crisis planning for assigned sites.
• Contribute to identifying vulnerabilities (*, loss, associate experience, process improvement) and define appropriate mitigating actions, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards.
• Serve as a point of contact and coordinate risk management measures with local management and external parties (*, law enforcement agencies, industry associations) on all security-related matters.
• Ensure assigned sites comply with Amazon's global security standards.

Basic Qualifications

• Relevant security or risk-related education or experience (*, security services, asset protection, loss prevention, risk management, inventory management, investigations, supply chain, auditing, compliance, or similar).
• Experience working with the MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) in a professional environment.
• Advanced proficiency in written and verbal Arabic.
• Upper intermediate proficiency in written and verbal English.

Preferred Qualifications

• A relevant degree, degree equivalent, or industry certification.
• Relevant experience with physical security systems, investigation techniques, and/or management of contract security officers.
• Relevant experience in retail, warehouse, distribution center services, delivery service, or supply chain.
• Relevant experience in working with data.
• Driver’s license.

This is a full-time position based in Jeddah and Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role operates within Amazon's extensive network, contributing to the security and efficiency of its operations.
