About the Role
As an Assistant Manager in Packaging Engineering, you will take on a critical role in crafting and executing innovative packaging solutions that prioritize product safety, cost-effectiveness, and environmental sustainability. This position requires collaboration with product design, manufacturing, supply chain, and quality teams to ensure that packaging meets all functional, regulatory, and environmental standards.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Support design, validation, and implementation of packaging systems for global automotive projects.
  • Lead packaging initiatives across engineering, logistics, and manufacturing.
  • Drive standardization and improvement of packaging processes and materials.
  • Oversee packaging specifications and ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Utilize software such as PackAssistant for optimizing packaging density.
  • Benchmark industry standards and integrate innovative packaging technologies.
  • Manage packaging budgets and timelines while ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Collaborate with suppliers for sourcing sustainable materials.
  • Conduct root cause analysis for packaging-related production issues.
  • Train and mentor packaging engineers and support staff.

Your Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field.
  • 7–10 years of experience in packaging design and implementation.
  • 2–3 years in automotive logistics or supervisory roles.
  • Proficiency in PackAssistant or similar software.
  • Understanding of packaging materials and testing standards.
  • Familiarity with CAD tools and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.
  • A proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
