About the Role

Riyadh Air, the new national airline headquartered in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, is establishing itself as a digitally native airline aiming to connect over 100 destinations and lead the aviation industry. We are seeking an experienced Avionics Engineer B2 to join our Engineering and Maintenance team. This role is essential for ensuring the airworthiness and operational readiness of our fleet, contributing to our mission of excellence.

Role Overview

The Avionics Engineer B2 will be responsible for performing maintenance, repairs, and inspections on the Boeing 787 fleet. This position requires strict adherence to regulatory requirements and industry standards. The role involves carrying out scheduled and unscheduled aircraft, engine, and component maintenance and repairs, ensuring compliance with approved manufacturer documentation and company safety procedures. A key aspect of this role is troubleshooting and maintaining the aircraft's avionics systems to ensure optimal performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, repairs, and inspections on the Boeing 787 fleet, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
• Execute scheduled and unscheduled aircraft, engine, and component maintenance and repairs in accordance with approved manufacturer documentation.
• Observe and adhere to all company safety procedures during all maintenance activities.
• Supervise teams undertaking Line Maintenance to optimize aircraft downtime, demonstrating leadership in a time-critical environment.
• Inspect and certify scheduled maintenance tasks.
• Perform defect rectification, modifications, and functional tests on Airframe, Engine, and Electrical systems.
• Troubleshoot and maintain avionics systems to ensure optimal aircraft performance.

Qualifications and Requirements

• A minimum Diploma/Certificate qualification in a relevant field.
• At least 8 years of experience in Line Maintenance.
• The last 2 years of maintenance experience must include certifying on the Boeing 787.
• Possession of a valid GACA / EASA or other CAA B2 AV Aircraft Maintenance License.
• Boeing 787 Type Rating Level 3.
• Must hold the appropriate police security clearance required for the role.
• Mandatory documents required for application include:
  • Valid GACA / EASA or other CAA valid B2 AV Aircraft Maintenance License.
  • Boeing 787 Aircraft Type training Level III original (practical and theoretical).
  • Last five (5) years of aircraft maintenance experience records (logbook), stamped and signed by the MRO/Operator Quality Assurance department.
  • Recency Letter from current and previous employers (if applicable) outlining scope of work and work duration, stamped and signed by the Maintenance Repair Organisations (MRO) Quality Assurance Department.
  • Current and previous Operator / MRO Certification Authorisation copy.
