About the Cost Controller Role

Jeraisy Computers and Communications Services is seeking a skilled Cost Controller to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is integral to managing the financial aspects of technology projects, ensuring adherence to budgets and achievement of financial objectives. The role requires a strong foundation in cost control, financial planning, and experience managing complex technology initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

The Cost Controller will be responsible for a range of financial management tasks related to technology projects. Key duties are expected to include:

  • Preparing budgets and developing financial forecasts for technology projects.
  • Implementing and maintaining cost control measures throughout project lifecycles.
  • Conducting detailed variance analysis to identify budget deviations and provide explanations.
  • Utilizing Earned Value Management (EVM) principles to track project performance and forecast completion costs.
  • Managing and overseeing IT project contracts to ensure compliance and financial adherence.
  • Performing comprehensive financial data analysis to support decision-making.
  • Developing and reporting on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to project costs and financial performance.
  • Identifying and managing financial risks associated with technology projects.
  • Overseeing cost control for projects including ERP, CRM, Digital Transformation, Cybersecurity, Infrastructure and Data Center, Cloud Computing, Network and Telecommunications, Artificial Intelligence and Data Analytics, and Software and Application Development.

Required Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should meet the following experience criteria:

  • A minimum of 5 to 8 years of experience in Cost Control, Financial Planning, and Technology Projects.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience specifically in large-scale IT projects.
  • Experience working within Project Management Office (PMO) environments.
  • Proven experience in managing IT project contracts.

Essential Skills and Proficiencies

The ideal candidate will possess a strong set of technical and analytical skills:

  • Expertise in Budget Preparation and Financial Forecasting.
  • Strong capabilities in Cost Control and Variance Analysis.
  • Proficiency in Earned Value Management (EVM).
  • Skilled in Contract and Claims Management.
  • Advanced Financial Data Analysis abilities.
  • Experience in KPI Development and Reporting.
  • Knowledge of Financial Risk Management.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience with Oracle ERP systems.
  • Familiarity with Power BI for data visualization and reporting.
  • Experience in cost control for various project types including ERP, CRM, Digital Transformation, Cybersecurity, Infrastructure and Data Center, Cloud Computing, Network and Telecommunications, Artificial Intelligence and Data Analytics, and Software and Application Development.

Work Context

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role is critical for the financial oversight of technology projects within Jeraisy Computers and Communications Services.
