In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for monitoring and analyzing project costs, ensuring adherence to approved budgets, and preparing financial and technical reports related to cost tracking and efficiency improvements in projects.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and review project cost plans and budgets.
  • Monitor actual expenditures against the approved budget and identify variances.
  • Analyze cost discrepancies and issue periodic reports to management.
  • Review change orders and ensure their impact is reflected in the project budget.
  • Prepare financial forecasts and monthly project reports.
  • Coordinate with procurement, engineering, and site teams to ensure accurate financial data.
  • Support management in preparing financial proposals and future project estimates.
  • Contribute to the development of cost control policies and procedures.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil/Mechanical/Electrical), Project Management, or Finance.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in cost control or project management.
  • Proficient in project management software such as Primavera P6 and MS Project.
  • Strong financial analysis skills and advanced Excel proficiency.
  • Valid membership in the Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE) is required.
  • Excellent command of English, both spoken and written.

About the Job
We are seeking a skilled Cost Engineer with a minimum of 2 years of experience to support cost control, budgeting, and commercial activities within an active construction project. The ideal candidate will work closely with the Commercial & Contract Department to ensure accurate project costing, effective cost monitoring, and compliance with contractual and financial requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in preparing, monitoring, and controlling the project budget and cost plans.
  • Track and analyze project expenditures, commitments, and cost variances.
  • Prepare periodic cost reports, financial forecasts, and updates for management.
  • Review and verify contractor invoices, variations, and change requests.
