Key Responsibilities

• Contract Review and Drafting: Prepare, review, and analyze contracts, agreements, NDAs, and related documents to safeguard Niceone’s business interests across all areas of operation.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure ongoing compliance with Saudi laws, digital retail regulations, and industry standards, advising business partners on best practices and emerging requirements.
• Risk Assessment: Identify potential legal risks, conduct thorough research, and make actionable recommendations to minimize exposure across Niceone’s business functions.
• Dispute Resolution Support: Assist internal teams in managing legal disputes, preparing supporting documentation, and liaising with external counsel when necessary.
• Policy Development: Support the creation, implementation, and communication of company policies and procedures, promoting ethical, compliant, and inclusive workplace practices.
• Data Privacy and Intellectual Property: Advise on personal data protection, copyright, trademark, and other IP issues relevant to digital commerce and marketing activities.

Skills And Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Law, Legal Studies, or a related field; relevant certifications or a Saudi law license are highly valued.
• Relevant Experience: Experience (2+ years preferred) in legal research, contract management, compliance, or in-house legal support, ideally within retail, e-commerce, or technology sectors.
• Analytical Ability: Strong critical thinking skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to identifying and interpreting regulatory and legal trends.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; Arabic proficiency is a plus.

About the Role
Our client, a global leader in AI innovation, is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Chief Legal Officer / General Counsel to lead and manage all legal operations across Saudi Arabia and the wider Middle East & Africa region. This is a pivotal leadership position for an accomplished legal professional with strong corporate, commercial, and technology-sector experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and build the legal function for SenseTime across KSA & MEA.
• Oversee all corporate legal matters, regulatory compliance, and risk management.
• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial and technology-focused contracts.
• Manage legal documentation relating to licensing, employment, compliance, and company secretarial matters.
• Provide legal strategy and guidance on IP protection, enforcement, and monetization.
• Advise on cross-border transactions, negotiations, and post-completion matters.
• Support corporate structuring and the establishment of new entities in multiple jurisdictions.
• Oversee external counsel and ensure high-quality, cost-effective legal support.
• Align MEA legal operations with global SenseTime legal policies and frameworks.

Experience & Qualifications

• 10–12 years of experience in a top-tier international law firm and/or in-house within a leading technology company.
• Strong background in corporate, commercial, regulatory, and technology law.
• Experience in capital markets, IP law, or cross-border transactions is a strong plus.
• UK/US bar qualification preferred.
• Fluency in Arabic and English required; Mandarin is highly desirable.
• Strong commercial judgment, organisational skills, and leadership capability.
