Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate rail grinding track machines and manual hand-held grinders.
  • Report any machine defects to the Grinding Supervisor.
  • Maintain the machine and tools safely and effectively.
  • Ensure the quality of grinding for turnout components and track.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and inspections on machines.
  • Document records and analyze rail profile measurements.

Training and Compliance:
  • Attend required training sessions and obtain necessary certifications.
  • Follow health and safety procedures during operations.

Qualifications:
  • Experience in operating grinding machines.
  • Knowledge of machine maintenance and repairs.
  • Ability to read technical drawings and method statements.
