Massage Therapist

About the Role

Marriott International is seeking a Massage Therapist to join their team in Riyadh. This full-time role involves providing professional massage services and body treatments to guests, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the service. The ideal candidate will have 0-1 years of experience in a related field.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver massage services and body treatments using appropriate props and products.
• Assess guest needs and inquire about contraindications (*, allergies, high blood pressure, pregnancy) before commencing service.
• Maintain current techniques and modalities relevant to the field of work.
• Escort guests to and from treatment rooms and arrange the workstation, treatment room, and drapes.
• Regularly check with guests to ensure comfort, safety, and security during the service.
• Promote and sell spa/salon services, including retail offerings related to the Spa.
• Clean, maintain, and sterilize tools, and ensure the cleanliness of the workstation and treatment room throughout the shift.
• Dispose of trash and dirty linens, and secure supplies and equipment at the end of each shift.
• Adhere to the time schedule throughout the day.
• Address inappropriate guest behavior by following Marriott International's standard operating procedures, which may include stopping a treatment and informing a supervisor/manager.
• Maintain current skills and licensure in the service area as per regional requirements.
• Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to management and complete required safety training and certifications.
• Follow all company policies and procedures, maintain a clean and professional appearance, ensure confidentiality of proprietary information, and protect company assets.
• Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, anticipate and address guest service needs, and express genuine appreciation.
• Communicate professionally and clearly with others.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues.
• Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods; grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight.
• Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 10 pounds without assistance.
• Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Education: A Technical, Trade, or Vocational School Degree is preferred.
• Experience: At least 1 year of related work experience is preferred.
• Licensure: A State or Regional Massage License is required.
• Supervisory Experience: No supervisory experience is required for this role.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, where the Massage Therapist will work within a professional spa environment, interacting directly with guests and adhering to established service standards.
