About the Role

Socium - Teams Done Differently is seeking an experienced Security Architect for a contract position in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This role is integral to designing and implementing robust security frameworks within the financial services sector. The position requires deep expertise in modern security architectures and a comprehensive understanding of the banking and digital financial landscape.

Key Responsibilities

The Security Architect will be responsible for the following:

• Designing and implementing enterprise-scale security frameworks, with a specific focus on Zero Trust Architecture.
• Conducting threat modeling using methodologies such as STRIDE to identify and assess risks in complex, high-risk environments.
• Developing detailed low-level threat statements derived from threat modeling exercises.
• Translating identified threats into actionable security controls and architectural decisions.
• Ensuring security architectures align with the regulatory environment of the banking sector.
• Contributing to the security design of core banking systems and digital banking platforms.

Required Qualifications and Experience

Candidates must meet the following essential requirements:

• Proven experience within the banking or financial services industry is mandatory.
• A strong understanding of core banking systems is essential.
• Demonstrated experience with digital banking platforms is required.
• In-depth knowledge of the regulatory environment within the financial services sector is necessary.
• Hands-on experience designing and implementing enterprise-scale security frameworks is a must.
• The ability to apply threat modeling methodologies like STRIDE in complex, high-risk environments is required.
• The capability to develop low-level threat statements and translate them into actionable security controls and architectural decisions is essential.

Contract Details and Work Environment

This is an initial 3-month contract position with a high likelihood of extension. The role is fully onsite in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, requiring 5 working days per week, 8 hours per day, adhering to Middle East working hours. The preferred start date is as soon as possible. Candidates are expected to provide a notice period of 0-2 weeks. Eligibility requires a valid and transferable IQAMA.
