The ideal candidate will be instrumental in designing, building, and operating a modern digital lending and financial services platform. This position requires a strategic thinker with a strong background in technology strategy, architecture, platform delivery, cloud infrastructure, regulatory integrations, cybersecurity alignment, and operational excellence. You will lead the development and ongoing operation of customer-facing digital products, core lending systems, integrations with national digital ecosystems, and enterprise technology governance frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and maintain scalable, secure, and high-availability technology architectures that support business objectives.
• Define and oversee the implementation of cloud infrastructure, application architecture, database strategy, and API frameworks.
• Drive critical architecture decisions, ensuring a balance between security, scalability, performance, and cost efficiency.
• Lead the implementation and continuous enhancement of digital lending and financial services platforms.
• Oversee end-to-end customer onboarding, verification, credit assessment, loan lifecycle management, repayments, and collections workflows.
• Ensure that developed platforms effectively support business growth and comply with all relevant regulatory requirements.
• Deliver and maintain robust integrations with external government entities, identity verification services, credit bureaus, payment gateways, and digital signature ecosystems.
• Manage complex API integrations and foster strong relationships with third-party technology partners.
• Establish and enforce Secure Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) practices across development teams.
• Implement comprehensive security testing, code review processes, vulnerability management, dependency scanning, and release controls.
• Collaborate closely with security stakeholders to ensure strict adherence to regulatory expectations and security standards.
• Implement and manage IT Service Management processes, including incident, problem, change, release, and configuration management.
• Establish and maintain technology governance frameworks and robust operational controls.
• Manage technology risk, ensure comprehensive documentation, and maintain audit readiness.
• Oversee cloud infrastructure and application environments, ensuring optimal performance and security.
• Design and rigorously test disaster recovery, backup, and business continuity capabilities to ensure resilience.
• Consistently achieve and maintain platform reliability and availability targets.
• Manage technology vendors, outsourcing partners, and service providers effectively.
• Define and meticulously monitor Service Level Agreements (SLAs), performance metrics, and delivery outcomes from vendors.
• Conduct thorough due diligence and vendor risk assessments for all technology partners.

Qualifications and Requirements

• A minimum of 8 years of experience in technology leadership, software engineering, platform delivery, or enterprise architecture.
• Extensive experience within the fintech, financial services, lending, payments, banking, or other highly regulated industries.
• Proven experience leading and managing cloud-based platforms, including AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• A strong understanding of APIs, microservices architecture, CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and modern software delivery methodologies.
• Demonstrated experience in managing technology vendors and external delivery partners.
• A track record of successfully delivering large-scale digital transformation or complex platform implementation initiatives.

Work Environment and Additional Information

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field. Relevant certifications such as ITIL, PMP, AWS, Azure, or TOGAF are highly desirable. Experience working within regulated environments and familiarity with technology compliance frameworks are also preferred.
