In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for managing the purchasing process, ensuring the quality and profitability of our food and beverage supplies, and maintaining high standards of inventory control. Your expertise will be vital in supporting our operational strategy and enhancing our guest experience.
Main Responsibilities:- Implement established procedures for ordering, receiving, and storing items.
- Develop and maintain an approved vendors list for various categories.
- Assist the Executive Chef in purchasing decisions to ensure product quality.
- Manage inventory levels and enforce first in/first out rotation.
- Ensure compliance with sanitation and safety standards.
- Generate timely reports and analyze data for decision-making.
- Collaborate with different departments to meet food production needs.
Qualifications:- A 4-year bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field, or a minimum of 2 years of experience in purchasing or a similar role.
- Strong understanding of accounting practices as they relate to purchasing.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and meet deadlines.
