Join Our Team as an Ophthalmology Technician
We are seeking a highly motivated and qualified Ophthalmology Technician to join our healthcare team in Khobar. The Ophthalmology Technician plays a vital role in supporting ophthalmologists by performing a wide range of diagnostic tests and clinical procedures to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of eye conditions. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, keen attention to detail, and excellent patient interaction skills to ensure accurate results and a positive patient experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist ophthalmologists in conducting comprehensive eye examinations and diagnostic procedures, including visual acuity testing, tonometry, Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT), visual field testing, and fundus photography.
  • Prepare and position patients for examinations, ensuring their comfort and clear communication about procedures.
  • Collect and accurately record patient medical histories, ocular symptoms, and test results according to clinic protocols.
  • Maintain, clean, and calibrate ophthalmic instruments and diagnostic equipment regularly.
  • Educate patients about eye health, treatment plans, and proper medication use.
  • Support daily clinic operations through appointment scheduling and patient flow management.
  • Adhere strictly to infection control, safety, and patient confidentiality standards.
  • Collaborate effectively with ophthalmologists, optometrists, nurses, and administrative staff.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and training.

Qualifications:
  • Diploma in Ophthalmology Technology or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of one year experience in ophthalmic technology or a related field preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-centered approach.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology related to ophthalmology is an advantage.
  • Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to healthcare regulations.
