At Calo, we are dedicated to making healthy eating easy through our innovative technology. We are looking for a dedicated Food Quality Associate who will play a crucial role in maintaining the quality of all incoming and outgoing materials and products, as well as monitoring production procedures.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Maintain records of quality reports and relevant documentation.
  • Formulate procedures to inspect and report quality issues.
  • Monitor all operations that affect quality.
  • Implement preventative measures to prevent health hazards.
  • Conduct multiple audits on the production floor and for suppliers.
  • Collaborate with other departments to address quality and safety issues.
  • Inspect procedures of the entire production cycle for efficiency and compliance with quality standards.
Ideal Candidate:
You will be a fresh graduate with a Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology, Pharmacology, Biological Sciences, or a related field. A good understanding of quality standards and methodologies is essential, as is the ability to communicate effectively in English.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Shift to different departments as necessary for instrument availability.
  • Train trainees on analytical techniques used for finished goods analysis.
  • Ensure compliance with cGMP/GLP in the QC laboratory and maintain documentation practices.
  • Manage reference standards, chemicals, reagents, and solvents appropriately.
  • Raise Out of Specification (OOS) reports and complete Laboratory Investigation Reports (LIR) within given timelines.
  • Conduct testing on market complaint samples when required.
  • Perform daily checks and maintenance of laboratory equipment.
  • Assist with procurement procedures related to instruments and reagents.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry.
  • 3 to 4 years of experience in Pharmaceuticals Quality Control.
  • Basic fire safety awareness.
  • Knowledge of pharmaceutical products and regulatory compliance (SFDA).
  • Strong analytical and observational skills.
