Join Our Team as an Assistant Human Resources Manager!
We are currently seeking passionate and dynamic guest-focused Human Resources professionals who pride themselves on delivering extraordinary levels of customer service and providing creative solutions to our guests. As an Assistant Director of Human Resources / Assistant Human Resources Manager, you will assist the Director of Human Resources / Human Resources Manager in managing all HR functions to meet strategic business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the recruitment and hiring of frontline employees
  • Be available for employees at all levels to advise, counsel, and assist with problems or queries
  • Encourage good standards of employee conduct and behavior; coordinate disciplinary procedures when necessary
  • Manage and inspect staff accommodation to ensure high standards of cleanliness and comfort
  • Coordinate and encourage sports and social activities regularly
  • Maintain lively and interesting staff notice boards
  • Ensure appraisals are conducted for every employee at least once a year; review appraisals and follow up on development needs
  • Maintain a high level of colleague satisfaction and team spirit
  • Communicate effectively throughout the hotel
  • Foster a cooperative working climate, maximizing productivity and morale

Skills and Qualifications:
You should have a university degree in a related discipline or a professional HR designation with a minimum of one year of experience in the same role. Proficiency in a computerized payroll system and fluent English are essential.

The Role

  • Performance Management: Lead the performance management process and support department heads in addressing performance issues.
  • Compensation & Benefits: Ensure the competitiveness of the compensation structure and manage the payroll process.
  • Compliance & Policies: Ensure compliance with local labor laws and communicate company policies.
  • Team Member Wellbeing & Support: Implement programs that support wellbeing, health, and work-life balance initiatives.
  • Diversity & Inclusion: Champion diversity and inclusion initiatives across the organization.

Qualifications and Standards

  • 510 years of experience in human resources management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role within the hospitality industry.
  • Strong leadership skills and excellent interpersonal skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of HR best practices and compliance.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • High degree of professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Cultural sensitivity and ability to manage a diverse workforce.
