About the Role:
Umm Al Qura for Development & Construction is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Procurement Specialist to support our Procurement & Tendering Department. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing procurement activities while ensuring compliance with internal processes and supporting the delivery of high-quality, cost-effective procurement solutions aligned with our organization’s goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the end-to-end procurement process including preparation of RFQs and RFPs, bid collection, evaluation coordination, and documentation.
  • Assist in maintaining accurate vendor records and updating supplier information in the procurement system.
  • Track and report on procurement KPIs such as the number of PRs processed vs. planned, average procurement cycle time, and competitive vs. single-source procurement ratios.
  • Coordinate the contractor/vendor prequalification process and maintain relevant documentation.
  • Participate in proposal evaluations and support negotiations with vendors as required.
  • Assist in implementing cost optimization initiatives and tracking related savings.
  • Ensure procurement activities align with company policies, local content regulations, and ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) requirements.
  • Help manage vendor performance tracking and support regular evaluations.
  • Maintain procurement documentation for audits and compliance checks.

Qualifications & Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of relevant experience in procurement or supply chain.
  • Knowledge of procurement principles, tendering procedures, and contract basics.
  • Experience in real estate development is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills.
  • Proficient in both English and Arabic.
  • Familiarity with procurement software or ERP systems is an advantage.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and external vendors.
