Join The First Group Hospitality as a Hostess!As the first point of contact for guests, the Hostess plays a key role in creating a welcoming and memorable dining experience. You will greet guests with warmth and professionalism, manage reservations and table assignments, and coordinate with the service team to ensure smooth restaurant operations.
Responsibilities:- Welcome guests with a friendly and courteous attitude upon arrival.
- Manage reservations through the hotel system or reservation platforms.
- Maintain an accurate waitlist and provide guests with wait times when necessary.
- Escort guests to their tables and present menus.
- Communicate guest preferences, special occasions, or dietary needs to the service team.
- Coordinate table turnover with servers to optimize seating efficiency.
- Monitor restaurant entrance and maintain an organized reception area.
- Ensure menus are clean, up to date, and stocked at the host station.
- Handle guest inquiries and resolve minor complaints in a professional manner.
- Support restaurant team with administrative or side duties as assigned.
- Maintain high grooming standards in line with the resort’s image.
- Comply with resort policies, health, and safety regulations.
Desired Skills & Expertise:- Proven experience as a hostess or front-of-house staff in a restaurant, preferably in a hotel/resort.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Proficiency in English (additional languages are a plus).
- Familiarity with reservation systems (*, OpenTable, SevenRooms) is an advantage.
