Shear International Co. Ltd is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Costing Engineer for our Steel Foundry & Iron Casting Project in Jeddah, KSA. This role is crucial for our project as it involves preparing precise cost estimates that drive profitability and efficiency in our manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Cost Estimation: Prepare detailed calculations for raw materials, consumables, labor, and overheads to ensure accurate pricing of steel casting products.
  • Quotation Support: Work closely with sales to prepare competitive quotations for customer RFQs, ensuring company profitability through accurate pricing strategies.
  • Cost Analysis: Analyze variances in estimated versus actual costs, identifying key drivers and opportunities for cost savings.
  • Cross-Department Collaboration: Collaborate with engineering, production, and procurement teams to ensure alignment on technical specifications and pricing.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Maintain comprehensive records of cost calculations and generate reports for management review and audit purposes.

Qualifications & Requirements:
  • Master’s/Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Finance, or a related field.
  • 36 years of experience in costing, preferably within a foundry or heavy manufacturing context.
  • Strong understanding of foundry operations and material flow.
  • Proficient in cost modeling and analysis tools, with excellent skills in Excel; experience with ERP systems is advantageous.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong analytical capabilities.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective cross-functional collaboration.
