We are looking for a Hostess who will perform all duties in accordance with the Business Unit’s Standard Operating Policies and Procedures. This role involves assisting the Restaurant Manager (RM) and Assistant Restaurant Manager (ARM) in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and resolving any problems in the surroundings to ensure maximum guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Welcome guests warmly and escort them to tables.
• Assist managers in implementing special promotions and events.
• Answer phone calls in a professional manner to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Coordinate with serving staff and maintain a guest waiting list during busy periods.
• Report any guest complaints and work to resolve issues effectively.
• Maintain a high standard of personal grooming and demeanor.
• Notify managers of any special guest requests and be aware of company safety procedures.

Critical Skills and Competencies:

• Good general education and hotel/catering qualifications are desirable.
• At least 2 years of experience in a hotel, casual or fine dining environment.
• Excellent knowledge of food and service standards, particularly fine dining.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a similar role or customer-facing position preferred.

• Professional appearance and grooming standards.
• Basic knowledge of computer or reservation systems is an advantage.
