Join Malaa as a Senior AccountantAs a Senior Accountant, you will play a critical role in our finance department, being responsible for day-to-day accounting operations and serving as a vital partner to the Finance Manager. Your expertise will help ensure compliance with rigorous reporting standards and support our growth in the financial services sector.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage the full month-end and year-end close processes, including preparing journal entries and reconciling balance sheet accounts.
- Maintain accurate financial records in accordance with IFRS and local regulations.
- Prepare regulatory filings and support ad-hoc reporting requests from regulators.
- Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and treasury functions.
- Perform daily reconciliations of banks, custody, and payment-gateway accounts.
- Coordinate with external auditors and resolve queries efficiently.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and automate repetitive tasks.
- Monitor new IFRS standards and assess their impact on accounting practices.
Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise:- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, with a professional designation (SOCPA, CPA, ACCA, or CMA) preferred.
- 23 years of accounting experience, particularly in financial services or regulated industries.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and Saudi tax/zakat regulations.
- Proven track record of managing the close process and delivering accurate financial statements.
- Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with modern accounting systems.
- Excellent English communication skills.
