About the HIS Support Specialist Role
PANACEA SOLUTIONS, a healthcare technology company, is seeking a HIS Support Specialist to provide essential technical and functional support for its Hospital Information System (HIS). This contractor role is based in 'Asir, with specific on-site requirements in Jeddah and Taif. The specialist will collaborate with clinical, administrative, and IT teams to ensure optimal system performance and user satisfaction, contributing to the company's mission of enhancing patient care and operational efficiency through innovative healthcare technology.
Role Responsibilities
The HIS Support Specialist will be responsible for the day-to-day technical and functional assistance for the HIS. Key duties include:
- Providing comprehensive technical and functional support to HIS users.
- Troubleshooting and resolving system issues, incidents, and user inquiries promptly.
- Logging, tracking, and managing support tickets through to their resolution.
- Escalating complex issues to appropriate higher-level support teams or vendors as needed.
- Configuring and managing user accounts, roles, and system permissions.
- Assisting with system updates, testing, and the deployment of new functionalities.
- Maintaining accurate documentation for processes, known issues, and their resolutions.
- Delivering basic user training and support sessions.
- Gathering user feedback to contribute to system improvement initiatives.
- Coordinating with implementation and IT teams to ensure system stability and performance.
- Managing shift handovers effectively.
- Maintaining an issues log and tracking system.
- Providing assistance with user training.
Qualifications and Requirements
Candidates for this position should possess the following qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Medicine, Health Sciences, Health Informatics, a Medical Background, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Demonstrated experience in technical support and troubleshooting of HIS or similar healthcare/enterprise applications.
- Excellent customer support and communication skills.
- The ability to effectively interact with clinical, administrative, and technical stakeholders.
- Familiarity with hospital workflows, medical terminology, or healthcare information systems is highly preferred.
- Willingness to work on-site in Jeddah and Taif is required.
