Local Riyadh (@localrydh) – a fast-growing online media platform creating cutting edge content on trending news, places to go, and things to do, primarily geared towards Millennials and Gen Z of Riyadh – is looking to onboard a Business Development Manager, with a track record of achieving sales targets, preferably within the media and advertising space (or with relevant B2B sales experience).


Local Riyadh is part of the Local Media Group, with a strong presence in Bahrain and UAE, that collectively achieves close to 40 million impressions - per month - across all channels.


The ideal candidate must demonstrate an excellent command of English and Arabic, and have a strong network of contacts within the Riyadh's business community, in addition to possessing a good sense of the publication's audience and knowledge of the local scene.


The candidate is expected to possess strong communication, organizational, interpersonal and leadership skills, with the ability to work comfortably under pressure in a fast-paced environment, and manage a growing team of sales personnel. The candidate will be responsible for day-to-day tasks related to business growth and development, such as identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, building and maintaining relationships with clients, conducting market research, and creating business proposals.

Job Title: Salesman for Philips Smart Lock

Job Type: Full-Time

Job Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and dynamic Salesman to represent Philips Smart Lock solutions to developers and interior design companies. This role requires a strong understanding of smart home technology, excellent sales skills, and the ability to build and maintain relationships with key industry stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

Client Acquisition & Relationship Management: Identify and engage potential clients within the development and interior design sectors. Build and maintain strong relationships with developers, interior designers, and project managers.

Product Expertise: Develop a deep understanding of Philips Smart Lock products, including their features, benefits, and installation requirements. Effectively communicate these to clients.

Sales Strategy: Develop and execute sales strategies tailored to the needs of developers and interior designers. Create compelling proposals and presentations that highlight the benefits of Philips Smart Lock solutions.

Market Research: Stay updated on industry trends, competitor products, and market demands. Use this knowledge to position Philips Smart Lock as a leading solution in the smart lock market.

Customer Support: Provide exceptional support throughout the sales process, from initial contact to post-installation follow-up. Address any client concerns and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.

Reporting: Track sales activities, report on performance metrics, and provide feedback to management on market trends and customer needs.


Qualifications:

Proven experience in sales, preferably in the smart home technology, real estate development, or interior design sectors.

Strong knowledge of smart lock systems and home automation solutions.

Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Ability to build and maintain professional relationships with clients.

Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and the ability to work independently.

Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.


Education & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering or a related field preferred.

2+ years of sales experience, with a focus on technology or home improvement products preferred.

Language:

English, Arabic
