Job Purpose
The Senior Business Development Manager is responsible for leading the company's commercial growth by identifying, securing, and managing strategic business opportunities within the mining, drilling, and exploration sectors. This role plays a vital part in expanding the company's market presence, building strong relationships with customers, and contributing to sustainable revenue and profit growth.

Main Responsibilities
  • Business Development and Strategic Growth:
    • Identify and lead high-value business opportunities in the mining, drilling, and exploration sectors.
    • Develop and implement business development strategies aligned with the company's goals.
    • Lead market expansion initiatives within Saudi Arabia and international markets.
    • Evaluate opportunities using a structured bid/no-bid decision framework.
  • Client Relationship Management:
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, government entities, and stakeholders.
    • Be the primary point of contact for strategic accounts.
    • Lead client meetings, presentations, and commercial negotiations.
    • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and long-term partnerships.
  • Commercial Proposals and Bids:
    • Lead the bid and proposal lifecycle (qualifications, submission, follow-up).
    • Develop competitive pricing strategies and commercial proposals.
    • Conduct margin analysis and financial evaluations.
    • Coordinate with technical, financial, HSE, and operations teams.
    • Ensure compliance with bid requirements and deadlines.
  • Partnerships and Joint Ventures:
    • Identify and establish strategic partnerships and joint ventures.
    • Participate in joint bids for large mining projects.
    • Support expansion into new markets through alliances.
  • Strategic Research and Market Intelligence:
    • Monitor industry trends, competitors, and bidding lines.
    • Track developments in the Saudi mining sector and regulatory environment.
    • Prepare market intelligence reports and strategic insights for management.
    • Represent the company at conferences, exhibitions, and industry events.

Conditions and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Mining Engineering, or a related field.
  • Master's degree in Business Administration or a postgraduate qualification is preferred.
  • 8-10 years of experience in business development in mining, drilling, or exploration sectors.
  • Proven track record in securing contracts and managing key client relationships.
  • Strong knowledge of the Saudi market and government procurement processes.

Skills and Competencies
  • Advanced technical skills in CRM systems and pipeline management.
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen (pricing, margin analysis).
  • Experience in proposal development and bid management.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Knowledge of ERP systems (preferably Odoo).

Language Requirements
  • English: Professional proficiency (mandatory).
  • Arabic: Preferred.

Saudi Regulatory Compliance
  • The position is subject to Saudi Labor Law.
  • Registration under GOSI.
  • Company-supported residency.
  • End-of-service benefits (EOSB) apply.
  • Medical insurance coverage as per policy.

Working Conditions
  • Office-based work in Jeddah with frequent travel to project sites.
  • Regular travel within and outside Saudi Arabia.
