About The Job
An opportunity has arisen for Sous Chef (Pastry Speciality) for Culinary Department to join Jumeirah Group.

Main Duties And Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Executive Chef / Pastry Chef de Cuisine in setting service and pastry production standards.
  • Communicate any issues arising within the pastry section to the Executive Sous Chef.
  • Support the Executive Chef / Pastry Chef de Cuisine in developing new pastry and dessert menu items.
  • Manage and coordinate staff training within the pastry section.
  • Implement approved departmental policies and procedures.
  • Motivate pastry team members and contribute to identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environment regulations.
  • Maintain the designated pastry section, equipment, and utensils in a clean and hygienic condition.

About You
The ideal candidate will have:
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in a similar Pastry Chef role.
  • In-depth knowledge of classic and modern pastry techniques.
  • Strong understanding of ingredient functionality and pastry production methods.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to hygiene.
