About the Role
Raffles Makkah Palace, part of Raffles Hotels & Resorts, is seeking a Tailor to join their team in Makkah. This role aims to contribute to maintaining the high standards of presentation and operational efficiency expected in our luxury hotel, which features 219 suites and duplex villas with breathtaking views of the Grand Mosque and the Holy Kaaba. You will contribute to creating a unique and welcoming atmosphere, while ensuring all guest and colleague textiles meet our stringent quality standards.
This is a full-time position offering an opportunity for individuals with 0-1 years of experience to grow within a prestigious hospitality brand that embraces the values of Arabic hospitality. Key Tasks and Responsibilities
- Ensure the cleanliness of all completed work, including hotel linens and colleague uniforms.
- Provide friendly and efficient service to colleagues, and potentially guests, regarding textile needs.
- Process and maintain hotel linens and colleague uniforms.
- Adhere to and maintain all health and safety standards within the workplace.
- Perform duties that require continuous standing and walking throughout the shift.
- Frequently lift and carry items weighing up to 30 lbs (approximately * kg).
- Engage in repetitive activities involving kneeling, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
- Ascend or descend stairs and ramps as needed for specific tasks.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Previous experience in housekeeping is considered an added advantage.
- Ability to work harmoniously with colleagues as part of a team.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to focus on guest needs, while remaining calm and courteous at all times.
