About the Role

IDOM Consulting, Engineering, Architecture is seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Key Responsibilities

• Perform engineering design and analysis for Overhead Transmission Lines (OHTL), substations, and Medium Voltage/High Voltage (MV/HV) networks.
• Develop and review engineering calculations, technical reports, and design documentation.
• Conduct comprehensive system studies, including load flow, short circuit, protection coordination, and stability analysis.
• Prepare and review technical drawings, specifications, and project deliverables.
• Support multidisciplinary project teams throughout the project lifecycle, from concept design to detailed engineering.
• Ensure compliance with relevant international standards and specific project requirements.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, and internal stakeholders for project execution.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• A minimum of 2 and a maximum of 5 years of professional experience in High Voltage (HV) and Medium Voltage (MV) power systems.
• Proven experience in Overhead Transmission Lines (OHTL) design.
• Proven experience in substation design.
• Proven experience in MV/HV network analysis.
• Familiarity with relevant international electrical standards, such as IEC and IEEE.

Required Skills

• Expertise in High Voltage (HV) and Medium Voltage (MV) power systems.
• Proficiency in Overhead Transmission Lines (OHTL) design and substation design.
• Strong capabilities in MV/HV electrical network analysis.
• Experience in conducting engineering studies and contributing to multidisciplinary project development.
• Skilled in performing engineering calculations and developing technical reports and design documentation.
• Proficiency in system studies including load flow analysis, short circuit analysis, protection coordination, and stability analysis.
• Ability to prepare and review technical drawings and specifications.
• Experience in ensuring compliance with international standards.
• Excellent client, consultant, and internal stakeholder coordination skills.
• Proficiency in industry-standard software such as ETAP, PSS(R)E or PSCAD, and AutoCAD or equivalent drafting tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Preferred experience working within utility companies, engineering consultants, or EPC environments.
• Preferred experience collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary engineering teams.
