About the Role

This role is critical for overseeing large-scale construction projects in Taif and Makkah, Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This position requires acting as a key liaison between project teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders, driving strategic planning and execution to achieve successful project outcomes while upholding stringent safety and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of large-scale construction projects from planning and execution through to final completion, adhering strictly to established timelines and budgets.
• Develop and implement comprehensive project strategies, including meticulous resource allocation, detailed scheduling, and proactive risk management, to effectively achieve project objectives.
• Lead and manage diverse construction teams, including project managers, site supervisors, and subcontractors, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
• Diligently monitor and control project budgets, ensuring cost efficiency and promptly addressing any financial discrepancies or potential overruns.
• Ensure all construction activities rigorously meet required quality standards and fully comply with project specifications, relevant building codes, and regulatory requirements.
• Oversee contract administration processes, including negotiation, execution, and ongoing compliance, and effectively manage any disputes or changes that may arise.
• Implement and rigorously enforce safety procedures and protocols to maintain a secure working environment and minimize the risk of accidents or incidents.
• Maintain consistent and clear communication with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams, providing regular updates, addressing concerns proactively, and managing expectations effectively.
• Identify and resolve any issues or obstacles encountered during the construction phase, ensuring project continuity and adherence to defined goals.
• Prepare and deliver detailed progress reports to senior management and stakeholders, highlighting key achievements, challenges encountered, and any necessary adjustments or changes.
• Support the implementation of Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) initiatives, actively participate in safety awareness activities, and contribute to incident reporting and resolution in alignment with company and Integrated Management System (IMS) policies.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 15 to 18 years of professional working experience in construction management.
• At least 5 years of experience in a relevant supervisory position within the construction industry.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in construction management, with a specific emphasis on façade construction.
• Experience within the GCC (Gulf Cooperation Council) region is considered a significant advantage.

Location: Taif

Tasks:

• Managing the warehouse and monitoring inventory.
• Periodic inventory of raw materials and products.

About the Role

Bechtel Corporation is seeking a General Superintendent 4 - Electrical & Instrumentation Process Plant for a full-time position on the Ar Rjum Project in Dhalam, Makkah, Saudi Arabia. This role is essential for overseeing and coordinating subcontractor activities on a complex greenfield gold project, ensuring adherence to schedules, safety standards, and quality specifications. The position contributes to building projects that support economic growth and infrastructure development in the region.

The Ar Rjum Project encompasses multiple open-pit mining operations, a processing plant, tailings management facilities, and supporting infrastructure. Located in the Central Arabian Gold Region, approximately 200 km northeast of Taif, this project is a significant mining endeavor.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and direct subcontractor activities through coordination and instruction of their management staff within the designated area of responsibility.
• Review and monitor subcontractor construction schedules, resource charts, and material and equipment requirements.
• Approve, where necessary, subcontractor construction methods, schedules, manning charts, and material and equipment requirements.
• Lead the construction operations impact on external interfaces to ensure alignment with overall established project schedules.
• Monitor the installation of materials and equipment to assure conformance with drawings, specifications, vendor requirements, and other project stipulations.
• Implement and enforce policies, procedures, and related work rules as established by field construction management.
• Collaborate with Construction Field Engineers, Foremen, and Craft Professionals in interpreting Engineering design documents, vendor documents, and other technical documents.
• Coordinate engineering solutions with Subcontractors, Foremen, and Craft Professionals.
• Coordinate with the Design team on constructability issues.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 10-13 years of relevant experience, OR 14-17 years of relevant work experience.
• Extensive experience managing Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) scope in large mineral processing plants.
• Previous experience on gold processing plants.
• Previous experience in mining & metals processing plants within the MENA region.
• Extensive experience working with High Voltage (HV) and Medium Voltage (MV) equipment, cabling, and terminations.
• Extensive experience in the pre-commissioning of HV/MV installations and large mineral processing plants.
