Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a self-directing, multi-functional team in the efficient intake of poultry and processing of specified poultry products.
  • Ensure internal customer requirements are met through effective team management and production oversight.
  • Finalize and implement the daily production plan in collaboration with Production Management.
  • Conduct internal quality and HACCP audits to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Propose modifications and process optimizations to enhance the service level of the department.
  • Oversee and coordinate production and maintenance activities within the team.
  • Contribute to the development of systems, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and plant commissioning processes.
  • Conduct safety and risk assessments to ensure a secure working environment.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Diploma in Poultry Processing, Food Technology, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a similar position within a poultry food environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in finalizing and implementing daily production plans with Production Management.
  • Proven ability to conduct internal quality and HACCP audits.
  • Experience in proposing modifications and process optimizations to improve departmental service levels.
  • Experience in developing systems, SOPs, and plant commissioning.
  • Experience in conducting safety and risk assessments.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in Poultry Processing and Food Technology principles.
  • Knowledge of HACCP and ISO standards.
  • Internal Auditor certification or demonstrated experience.
